Happy Birthday Alexia!

Lexi, you are such a sweet snuggly girl. Mommy and Daddy are so thankful to have you as our baby. Up until a few weeks ago you have been very laid back and always gone with the flow, but recently you have been showing so much personality and attitude, and you are climbing like a little monkey! Last week I found you on the dining room table, the back of the couch, and you learned how to climb up the slide! You are still a good sleeper, and you love your Daddy so much that you often refuse to come to me in the morning so he can leave for work. We can't wait to see how you grow in the next year, and we love you so much!

Ansleigh's Birthday Pictures

ansleigh turned 4 a few weeks ago. eric and i were at NA on the actual day, but we had a party the following week. it was so fun to spend time with family and friends, thank you all for coming! after i post NA pictures i will be caught up and hopefully not "forget" lexi's birthday next week!

mother's day

when i woke up this morning at 5:30 to a screaming baby and a stinky diaper that made me throw up because of morning sickness i selfishly thought "this is going to be another lovely mother's day..." and i have to admit, part of me would have traded it for another 3 hours in bed. but as the day progressed thankfully God's grace reminded me every moment how much He has given me. i have the gift of salvation, most importantly. the joy of having a relationship with the Saviour of the world is beyond words. and He has given me a husband who cherishes me and serves me selflessly on a daily basis, who i am thankful to say i love more and more all the time. i have 2 beautiful girls who are used constantly to reveal my heart for what it is, and challenge me to grow daily. a healthy pregnancy so far, at almost 18 weeks. friends who love me enough to confront me when needed, and also walk daily through life with me. and a family who not only lives close, but is close in spirit.

we ended up having a wonderful day, picnicking in downtown woodstock and taking pictures with the whole family...and just enjoying each other's company.

so i am grateful that God changed my whining and complaining attitude to one of thankfulness for His kindness. because without His grace....i could not do anything at 5:30am :)

homeschooling!

lately ansleigh has been asking to do school every day. she started reading 3 letter words a few weeks ago and she is really interested in learning to write her letters and numbers right now. i was totally unprepared for starting school this early, but ans is so interested i can't say no! i feel so unworthy to be teaching her bright little mind these things, i am terrified i am going to mess up! what a relief that our sovereign God ordained me to be her mom and teacher, and i know He will give me the grace to accomplish it. and His grace will cover my mistakes as well!

our florida trip

last weekend we went to florida for easter, the 4 of us had a blast together! thursday we went to visit nanny, and then grandmommy and granddaddy. then to a baseball game with grandma t and pop pop. ansleigh got down to the music, and thought all the players names were too hilarious, and lexi got to spend some time with daddy!

friday we went out for pizza with our dear friends dawn and scott, and to a pet store! then we went to the beards, ansleigh posed with her look-alike, christian. and both girls had a blast with their 4 kids.

saturday we went out on a pontoon boat, and that was so much fun! ansleigh and eric fished to their hearts content, and lexi took a nap after fighting sleep for a while.

on sunday we took family pictures, and went to nanny's church for easter service. then we had a egg hunt (or two). ansleigh and grandmommy raced for the eggs!

it was so good to see the holms, grandmommy and grandaddy, and 'girlfriend' and scott! thank you grandma t and pop pop for letting us stay in your home, we love you!
